Kathryn McWhirter

Kathryn McWhirter is a free-lance wine writer, author and translator. For many years she was drinks correspondent of The Independent on Sunday, and she edited the Which? Wine Guide. Together with her husband Charles Metcalfe, she has written wine and wine-with-food books for various publishers and British supermarkets. Their latest book, on wine, food, restaurants and travel in Portugal, won the Louis Roederer International Wine Book of the Year Award 2008.
