Campolargo
The Campolargo family has been working in viticulture and wine growing for several generations, the first red wine being produced back in the early 1920’s. Today the wine production is still very much family orientated covering two estates of 170 hectares in central Bairrada, near Anadia; yet has been modernised to compete with international markets. The cellar sits in one of the vineyards hillsides and took only 7 months to complete allowing for the use of gravity in the entire winemaking process. With the diverse soils and sun traps, the estate grows a large number of different grape varieties, many native Portuguese , but with the addition of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc.
