Herdade da Mingorra
In Portugal, in Baixo Alentejo hot lands, there is one of the most ancient vineyards cultures in the region. There are vineyards with decades of history which Henrique Uva has preserved and made profitable for years, and also valued as an independent producer. In 2004 the dream came true, and the project was given the name of Henrique Uva/Herdade da Mingorra. Although only three years gone by, this is a story full of success: besides the preference of thousands of consumers, these wines have been unanimously appraised by critics, as the awards conquered in the most prestigious international wine contests, all over the world, confirm. The success secret is the excellence of a 135 hectares vineyard; a wine cellar, where the modernity gets together with the most traditional techniques, stands out in the structure conditions alongside the enterprising and creative dynamic work team led by the wine maker Pedro Hipólito. The end result are wines with quality and innovation.
